Why the Razer 9mm Works

At 1000 RPM and 32 damage to the chest inside 12.5 meters, the Razer 9mm reaches a 240ms TTK at 150 HP — one of the fastest in the SMG class. Its 500 m/s bullet velocity is unusually high for a 9mm platform, which keeps it competitive into mid-range where most SMGs start to fall off. Check the full stat breakdown on the Razer 9mm weapon page.

The tradeoff is 43 units of vertical recoil, which is steep enough that you'll want at least one recoil-focused attachment in every build.

Damage Profile

| Range | Head | Chest | Stomach | Legs | |---|---|---|---|---| | 0–12.5 m | 35 | 32 | 27 | 27 | | 12.5–21 m | 31 | 28 | 24 | 24 | | 21 m+ | 23 | 21 | 18 | 18 |

Inside 12.5 meters you need five chest shots to down at 150 HP (5 × 32 = 160). Past 21 meters the per-shot damage drops hard — 21 to the chest means eight shots to kill, pushing the TTK out to 420ms. The takeaway: this gun thrives in close quarters and still holds up in the 12–21 m band, but beyond that you're better off pairing it with a ranged primary.

Build 1 — Best Overall

This is the go-to for aggressive pushing. It addresses vertical recoil while keeping ADS snappy.

| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Lethal Tools ELO | | Muzzle | H-9mm Precision Comp | | Barrel | 12" MFS Sidewinder Barrel | | Magazine | Zealot Extended Mag II | | Rear Grip | Microdot Recovery Grip |

  • The H-9mm Precision Comp directly tackles that 43-unit vertical recoil.
  • The 12" MFS Sidewinder Barrel extends the effective range and tightens the spread.
  • Zealot Extended Mag II gives you the ammo pool you need for squad fights — with only 30 rounds in the base mag, running out mid-gunfight is a real risk.
  • Microdot Recovery Grip improves recoil recovery between bursts, making follow-up kills more consistent.

Build 2 — Long Range

Designed to stretch the Razer 9mm into that 12–21 m mid-range bracket more reliably.

| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Lethal Tools ELO | | Barrel | 12" MFS Sidewinder Barrel | | Underbarrel | Lateral Precision Grip | | Magazine | Zealot Extended Mag II | | Rear Grip | Microdot Recovery Grip |

The key difference is swapping the Muzzle for a Lateral Precision Grip on the underbarrel. This trades some raw vertical control for better horizontal stability, which matters more when you're tracking targets at distance. You keep the same barrel, mag, and grip core.

Build 3 — Support

A suppressed build for players who want to stay off the minimap while still contributing at mid-range.

| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Fang HoverPoint Elo | | Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor | | Barrel | 12" MFS Sidewinder Barrel | | Underbarrel | Lateral Precision Grip | | Magazine | Zealot Extended Mag II |

  • Monolithic Suppressor keeps you off the compass and tends to add a small range bump.
  • Fang HoverPoint Elo offers a slightly different sight picture that some players prefer for sustained engagements.
  • No rear grip here — the slot is sacrificed to fit both a suppressor and an underbarrel, so recoil recovery between shots is slightly worse. This build rewards more deliberate trigger discipline.

How It Compares

The Razer 9mm currently sits in our Meta tier. For context, here's how nearby SMGs rank:

| Weapon | Tier | |---|---| | Razer 9mm | Meta | | C9 | Very Good | | Carbon 57 | Very Good | | AMR9 | Good | | BAS-P | Good |

The AMR9 is the closest competitor in terms of playstyle. If you want a side-by-side stat comparison, you can compare with AMR9. The C9 and Carbon 57 both sit a tier below and tend to offer slightly more forgiving recoil at the expense of raw TTK.

Final Verdict

The Razer 9mm earns its Meta placement with a 240ms close-range TTK and 165ms ADS — numbers that make it one of the most effective aggressive SMGs available in Warzone right now. The vertical recoil is the one real liability, but every build above addresses it. Run Build 1 for general use, Build 2 when you expect more mid-range duels, and Build 3 when stealth matters.
