The XM325 is a high-RPM light machine gun sitting in the Good tier on our meta tier list. With a 360ms close-range TTK, 750 m/s bullet velocity, and a 60-round default magazine, it fills a mid-range support role effectively. Here are three builds and everything you need to know about its damage profile.

Why the XM325?
The numbers tell a clear story:
- 1000 RPM — one of the fastest-firing LMGs available
- 360ms TTK at close range (150 HP), dropping to 540ms at long range
- 750 m/s bullet velocity — shots connect quickly at distance
- 60-round magazine out of the box, no attachment slot needed for capacity
The main trade-off is a 390ms ADS time, which is slow compared to assault rifles. Every build below tries to offset that in a different way.
Damage Profile Breakdown
| Range | Head | Chest / Stomach / Legs | |---|---|---| | 0–35 m | 29 | 23 | | 36–50 m | 23 | 18 | | 51 m+ | 20 | 16 |
Inside 35 meters the XM325 needs 7 body shots to down at 150 HP (7 × 23 = 161). Beyond 50 meters that climbs to 10 body shots (10 × 16 = 160). The steep damage falloff past 36 meters is why barrel and velocity attachments matter so much on this weapon.
Build 1 — Long Range
Designed to maximize accuracy and velocity for holding power positions.
| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Fang HoverPoint Elo | | Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor | | Barrel | 19.3" R-556 Chief Barrel | | Rear Grip | LI-Command Grip | | Stock | RX-7 Shock Stock |
Share code: L02-5XHFH-KQEW1
The Monolithic Suppressor keeps you off the minimap while adding range, and the 19.3" R-556 Chief Barrel extends the first damage range where the XM325 hits hardest. The LI-Command Grip and RX-7 Shock Stock work together to tighten the recoil pattern during sustained fire. This is the build to run when you're playing passively from rooftops or holding long sightlines.
Build 2 — Rush
A more aggressive setup that adds magazine capacity for team-wipe potential.
| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Fang Hoverpoint Elo | | Muzzle | Monolithic Suppressor | | Barrel | 19.3" R-556 Chief Barrel | | Magazine | Enforcer Extended Belt | | Stock | RX-7 Shock Stock |
Share code: L02-34FBS-SSSND-11
Swapping the rear grip for the Enforcer Extended Belt gives you extra rounds to work with when pushing buildings or contesting objectives. You lose some recoil control compared to the Long Range build, but the XM325's 1000 RPM fire rate means fights tend to end before the magazine runs dry. The Monolithic Suppressor and Chief Barrel still provide the range and stealth you need to stay competitive at mid-range.
Build 3 — Support
Built for team play, prioritizing uptime and target acquisition.
| Slot | Attachment | |---|---| | Optic | Fang Hoverpoint Elo | | Barrel | 19.3" R-556 Chief Barrel | | Magazine | Enforcer Extended Belt | | Stock | RX-7 Shock Stock | | Laser | MFS Motion Strike Laser |
Share code: L02-34N6P-CRFQH-11
This build drops the suppressor in favor of the MFS Motion Strike Laser, which helps offset the XM325's 390ms ADS penalty. The extended belt ensures you can suppress multiple angles without reloading. The trade-off is that you'll appear on the minimap when firing — making this build better suited for Resurgence or team modes where your squad can capitalize on the pressure you apply.
How It Compares
The XM325 sits alongside several other Good-tier LMGs. If you're deciding between them:
- 556 Icarus — compare with 556 Icarus to see how their damage profiles and mobility stack up
- Bruen MK9 — another strong option worth comparing side by side
- DG-58 LSW and Feng 82 — both in the same tier, each with different recoil and handling characteristics
XM325
Good556 Icarus
GoodThe XM325's main edge over these competitors is its combination of high RPM and high bullet velocity. 750 m/s is notably fast for an LMG, which makes it more forgiving at range than weapons with similar TTK but slower projectiles.
When to Pick It
The XM325 tends to perform best as a mid-range support weapon. Its 390ms ADS time means you'll generally lose snap-aim duels to ARs and SMGs, but the 360ms TTK and deep magazine let you win sustained fights and team engagements. Pre-aiming common angles and holding positions plays directly into its strengths.
